Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the seat back trim. Refer to Front Seat Back Trim Replacement .
  2. Remove the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  3. Remove the head restraint retainers. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Retainer Replacement .
  4. Remove the seat back cover far enough to gain access to the roller assembly. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .
  5. Remove the seat belt roller assembly cover screws.
  6. Remove the seat belt roller assembly cover.
  7. Lift the seat belt over the roller assembly.

  9. Remove the seat belt roller assembly bolt (1) from the lower seat frame.
  10. Remove the roller assembly.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat belt roller assembly into the seat frame.

  2. Object Number: 797646  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the roller assembly bolt (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the retaining nuts to 52 N·m (38 lb ft).

  5. Install the seat belt roller assembly cover.
  6. Install the seat belt roller assembly screws.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  8. Ensure that the seat belt is not twisted.
  9. Install the seat back cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Cushion Cover and Cushion Pad Replacement .
  10. Install the seat back trim cover. Refer to Front Seat Back Trim Replacement .
  11. Install the head restraint retainers. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Retainer Replacement .
  12. Install the head restraint. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  13. Ensure the seat belt operates correctly.
