Voltage is supplied to the electronic suspension control (ESC) module through the battery positive voltage circuit. The ESC module monitors the supplied voltage to determine if it is within a valid operating range.
Ignition is ON.
The DTC is set when the battery voltage is outside the normal range of 9-15.5 V.
• | The electronic suspension control system (ECS) is disabled for the duration of the ignition cycle. |
• | The TCS indicator illuminates on the IPC. |
• | The DIC displays the Service Stability System message, if equipped. |
• | Disable All Functionality |
The DTC is saved as history when the ESC module no longer sees battery voltage outside the normal range of 9-15.5 V. The DTC will clear if the fault does not return after 50 consecutive ignition cycles.
• | A high or low voltage DTC set in multiple modules indicates a concern in the charging system. |
• | A possible cause of this DTC could be overcharging with a battery charger or jump starting. |
• | A high or low voltage value in multiple modules indicates a concern in the charging system. |

⇒ | If the battery voltage is not within the specified range, refer to Charging System Test |
⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. |
⇒ | If the test lamp did not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. |
