The electronic brake control module (EBCM) detects an internal malfunction.
The ignition switch is in the ON position.
An internal EBCM malfunction exists.
One or more of the following actions may occur:
• | The EBCM disables the antilock brake system (ABS). |
• | The EBCM disables or degrades the dynamic rear proportioning (DRP) function. |
• | The ABS indicator illuminates. |
• | The vehicle dynamics caution (VDC) indicator illuminates. |
• | The brake warning indicator illuminates. |

Verify DTC C0550 is set as a current DTC.
⇒ | If DTC C0550 is current, verify the EBCM power circuits and ground circuits for proper connections. If all circuits test normal, replace the EBCM. |
