Power Steering Cooler Pipe/Hose Replacement Inlet/Outlet With V92

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the radiator upper grille. Refer to Radiator Upper Grille Replacement .
  2. Remove as much power steering fluid from the remote power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
  3. Remove the front air deflector, if necessary. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .
  4. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.

  6. Disconnect the power steering gear outlet hose and the power steering cooler outlet hose from the power steering cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly.

  7. Object Number: 1371689  Size: SH
  8. Remove the power steering cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly bolt.

  9. Object Number: 1371688  Size: SH
  10. Disconnect the power steering cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly from the power steering fluid cooler.
  11. Remove the power steering cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 1371688  Size: SH
  3. Connect the power steering cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly to the power steering fluid cooler.
  4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1371689  Size: SH
  5. Install the power steering cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly bolt.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Connect the power steering gear outlet hose and the power steering cooler outlet hose to the power steering cooler inlet and outlet hose assembly.
  8. Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  9. Install the radiator upper grille. Refer to Radiator Upper Grille Replacement .
  10. Install the front air deflector, if necessary. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .
  11. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .

Power Steering Cooler Pipe/Hose Replacement Outlet With or Without V92

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove as much power steering fluid from the remote power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
  2. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement.
  3. Place drain pans underneath the vehicle as needed.

  4. Object Number: 1371691  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the power steering cooler outlet hose from the power steering cooler inlet/outlet hose assembly (with V92) or the power steering fluid cooler (without V92).

  6. Object Number: 1301598  Size: SH
  7. Remove the power steering cooler outlet hose bracket bolts.

  8. Object Number: 1371693  Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the power steering cooler outlet hose from the remote power steering fluid reservoir.
  10. Remove the power steering cooler outlet hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering cooler outlet hose to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 1371693  Size: SH
  3. Connect the power steering cooler outlet hose to the remote power steering fluid reservoir.
  4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1301598  Size: SH
  5. Install the power steering cooler outlet hose bracket bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 1371691  Size: SH
  7. Connect the power steering cooler outlet hose to the power steering cooler inlet/outlet hose assembly (with V92) or the power steering fluid cooler (without V92).
  8. Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  9. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement.
  10. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.
