Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement LH2

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .
  2. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
  3. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  4. Remove as much power steering fluid from the remote power steering fluid reservoir as possible.

  5. Object Number: 886332  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the power steering cooler outer hose from the remote power steering fluid reservoir.

  7. Object Number: 888270  Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose from the remote power steering fluid reservoir.

  9. Object Number: 888272  Size: SH
  10. Remove the remote power steering fluid reservoir nuts.
  11. Remove the remote power steering fluid reservoir from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the remote power steering fluid reservoir to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 888272  Size: SH
  3. Install the remote power steering fluid reservoir nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 888270  Size: SH
  5. Connect the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose to the remote power steering fluid reservoir.

  6. Object Number: 886332  Size: SH
  7. Connect the power steering cooler outer hose to the remote power steering fluid reservoir.
  8. Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  9. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .
  10. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  11. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .

Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement LY7

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .
  2. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
  3. Remove the air cleaner inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .
  4. Remove as much power steering fluid from the remote power steering fluid reservoir as possible.

  5. Object Number: 1371693  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the power steering cooler outer hose from the remote power steering fluid reservoir.

  7. Object Number: 1300041  Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose from the remote power steering fluid reservoir.

  9. Object Number: 1300040  Size: SH
  10. Remove the remote power steering fluid reservoir bolts.
  11. Remove the remote power steering fluid reservoir from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the remote power steering fluid reservoir to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1300040  Size: SH
  3. Install the remote power steering fluid reservoir bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the smaller bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    Tighten
    Tighten the larger bolt to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

  5. Connect the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose to the remote power steering fluid reservoir.

  6. Object Number: 1371693  Size: SH
  7. Connect the power steering cooler outer hose to the remote power steering fluid reservoir.
  8. Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  9. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .
  10. Install the air cleaner inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .
  11. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
