Power Liftgate Inoperative With The Ignition Switch Off - keywords gate lift

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some customers may comment the Power Liftgate is inoperative when the ignition is off. It will operate normally if the ignition is turned to the on or accessory position.

Check for proper operation of circuit 5985 Accessory Wake Up Serial Data. With the Ignition Switch in the accessory position, test for battery voltage at the Transmission Control Module (TCM) terminal F5 (RPO LY7) or at the Automatic Transmission Inline 16-Way Connector terminal 9 (RPO LH2). If battery voltage is not present, test the circuit for an open or shorted condition. The complete schematic for this circuit can be found in the Power Moding Schematics.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
