Models:2008 Cadillac SRX built before 10/1/07



The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

The customer may notice any number of concerns with the HVAC or radio sound system that seem electrical in nature. The cause may be the result of oversized .64 female terminals in some I/P wire harness connectors allowing for poor or intermittent contact. The following connectors may be involved:

Radio X1 (Black) 14-way Radio X2 (Black) 16-way Radio X3 (Gray) 16-way Radio X4 (Brown) 16-way HVAC Control Module X1 (Black) 18-way HVAC Control Module X2 (White) 16-way HVAC Control Module X3 (Green) 18-way

Recommendation/Instructions:

Radio X1 (Black) 14-way

Radio X2 (Black) 16-way

Radio X3 (Gray) 16-way

Radio X4 (Brown) 16-way

HVAC Control Module X1 (Black) 18-way

HVAC Control Module X2 (White) 16-way

HVAC Control Module X3 (Green) 18-way

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
