The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Some customers may comment that the dome lights, front power seats, adjustable pedals (if equipped), sunroof/ sunshade, and the power liftgate are inoperative. The Check Engine Light may be on with P0498 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Vent Solenoid Valve Control Circuit Low Voltage stored. Inspection of the vehicle will reveal the RPDB 2 Fuse (50A) located in the underhood fuse block is open. The cause may be the passenger front seat wire harness chafing and shorting on the seat adjuster (1) near the recliner motor.
Inspect the passenger front seat harness for chafing. Repair the wiring using Diagnostic Information and Procedures contained in Wiring Systems and Power Management. Relocate and secure the harness to prevent future chafing.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
