Preliminary Procedures

    Warning: An electric fan under the hood can start up even when the engine is not running and can injure you. Keep hands, clothing and tools away from any underhood electric fan.

  1. Remove the air cleaner inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement
  2. Disconnect the cooling fan electrical connectors
  3. Remove any hoses or pipes.
  4. Disconnect the condenser tube from the cooling fan shroud retainer clip.
  5. Disengage the surge tank inlet hose from the retaining features on the cooling fan shroud and reposition aside.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
5.4 N·m (48 lb in)

Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Replacement LH2 with V92

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1372876  Size: SH
  1. Remove the fan. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Replacement.
  2. Lower the vehicle.
  3. Disconnect the condenser tube from the fan shroud retainer clip.
  4. Remove the cooling fan shroud retaining bolts.
  5. Remove the cooling fan shroud.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1372876  Size: SH
  1. Install the cooling fan shroud.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the cooling fan shroud retaining bolts and tighten to 6.5 N·m (58 lb in).
  4. Connect the condenser tube to the fan shroud retainer clip.
  5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  6. Install the fan. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Replacement.
