For 1990-2009 cars only
- Install the NEW intake manifold gasket.
- Install the intake manifold assembly.
- Install the intake manifold bolts and tighten to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
- Place the intake manifold brace to the engine front cover and intake manifold.
- Loosely install the bolts.
- First tighten the intake manifold brace bolt (1) to the intake manifold and tighten the intake manifold brace bolt at the intake manifold to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Finally tighten the intake manifold brace bolt (2) to the engine front cover and tighten the intake manifold brace bolt to the engine front cover to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).
- Install the EVAP solenoid.
- Install the EVAP solenoid bolt and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Connect the EVAP hose to the upper intake manifold and EVAP solenoid.
- Connect the PCV tube assembly to the upper intake manifold and the right camshaft cover.
- Install the PCV tube assembly bracket bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the brake booster hose to the upper intake manifold.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
Note: Tighten the intake manifold bolts in a circular pattern starting from the center and moving outward.
