Circuit Description
The rear video display contains infrared transmitters for the wireless headphones and the infrared receiver for the video system remote control. The rear video display processes the signal from the remote devices and sends the requests to the radio via the remote infrared signal circuits. If the display is in the closed position, the infrared signals will not be available for the operation of the wireless headphones and the remote control.

Circuit/System Verification
- Turn ON the wireless headphones. Verify the power indicator lamp on the wireless headphone illuminates.
- With the Radio ON, RSA ON, and DVD playing, verify all of the headphones are working properly.
| ⇒ | If the power indicator lamp does not illuminate, replace the wireless headphones. |
| ⇒ | If all of the headphones are inoperative, or the sound is distorted, refer to Circuit/System Testing. |
| ⇒ | If only one of the headphones is not producing sound, or the sound is distorted, replace the appropriate set of headphones. |
Circuit/System Testing
Note: The infrared transmitter is internal to the rear video display.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the video display.
- Test for less than 5.0 ohms between the ground circuit terminals listed below and ground.
- Ignition ON, RSA ON, DVD playing, test for B+ between the infrared module supply voltage signal circuit terminal 15 and ground.
- Ignition ON, DVD playing, test for B+ between the entertainment remote enable signal terminal 4 and ground.
- Ignition ON, DVD playing, test for AC voltage between the following signal circuit terminals listed below and ground.
- Ignition ON, RSA ON, test for AC voltage between the following signal circuit terminals listed below and ground.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the rear display.

| ⇒ | If greater than specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. |
| ⇒ | If less than specified value, test the control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the rear seat audio module. |
| ⇒ | If less than specified value, test the control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the radio. |

| ⇒ | If AC voltage is not present, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage, short to ground, or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the radio. |
