Preliminary Procedure Remove the Instrument Panel Insulator Panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side.
1	Instrument Panel Compartment Assembly Screw (Qty: 4) Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section. Tighten 2 N·m (18 lb in)
2	Instrument Panel Compartment Assembly Procedure Disconnect the instrument panel compartment dampener from the left rear corner of the compartment assembly.

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)

Instrument Panel Compartment Assembly

Disconnect the instrument panel compartment dampener from the left rear corner of the compartment assembly.
