Power Steering Fluid Cooler Replacement With V92

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the radiator upper grille. Refer to Radiator Upper Grille Replacement.
  2. Remove the front air deflector, if necessary. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement.
  3. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.

  4. Object Number: 1371688  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the power steering cooler inlet/outlet hose assembly from the power steering fluid cooler.

  6. Object Number: 1371685  Size: SH
  7. Remove the power steering fluid cooler bolts.
  8. Remove the power steering fluid cooler from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering fluid cooler to the vehicle.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1371685  Size: SH
  3. Install the power steering fluid cooler bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Connect the power steering cooler inlet/outlet hose assembly to the power steering fluid cooler.
  6. Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  7. Install the radiator upper grille. Refer to Radiator Upper Grille Replacement.
  8. Install the front air deflector, if necessary. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement.
  9. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.

Power Steering Fluid Cooler Replacement Without V92

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement.
  2. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.

  3. Object Number: 874626  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the power steering gear outlet hose and the power steering cooler outlet hose from the power steering fluid cooler.

  5. Object Number: 908531  Size: SH
  6. Remove the power steering fluid cooler bolts.
  7. Remove the power steering fluid cooler from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering fluid cooler to the vehicle.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 908531  Size: SH
  3. Install the power steering fluid cooler bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Connect the power steering gear outlet hose and the power steering cooler outlet hose to the power steering fluid cooler.
  6. Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  7. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement.
  8. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.
