Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

  1. Connect a scan tool.
  2. Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF.
  3. Press and hold the Image Up button on the head up display (HUD) switch.
  4. With the scan tool, observe the Adjust Display Up Switch parameter in the HUD Outputs data list.

Does the Adjust Display Up Switch parameter display Active?

  1. Press and hold the Image Down button on the HUD switch.
  2. With the scan tool, observe the Adjust Display Down Switch parameter in the HUD Outputs data list.

Does the Adjust Display Down Switch parameter display Active?

Go to Step 7

Test the HUD Image Up signal circuit for an open, for a high resistance, or for a short to voltage.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 9

Test the HUD Image Down signal circuit for an open, for a high resistance, or for a short to voltage.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the HUD Switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the HUD. Refer to Control Module References in Computer/Integrating Systems for replacement, setup, and programming.
