Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Do the turn signals operate properly?

Go to Step 3

Go to Turn Signal Lamps and/or Indicators Inoperative

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the inoperative repeater lamp bulb.
  3. Connect a test lamp between the turn signal lamp voltage supply circuit of the inoperative repeater lamp and the ground circuit of the inoperative repeater lamp.
  4. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  5. Place the turn signal switch in the appropriate position.

Does the test lamp flash ON and OFF?

Go to Step 5

Test for an open or high resistance in the front turn signal lamp supply voltage circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 8

Inspect for poor connections at the inoperative repeater lamp bulb. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Locate and repair an open or high resistance in the ground circuit of the inoperative repeater lamp. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 8

Replace the inoperative repeater lamp bulb. Refer to Repeater Lamp Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
