and Pinion Cage Remover |
- Remove the pinion flange nut (1) using J 34826
while holding the flange with the J 45012
and a breaker bar.
- Remove the pinion flange from the shaft. If the flange will not pull
off, use the J 45019
with
forcing screw, bolts and spacers.
- Place the pinion cage
into a press.
- Remove the pinion shaft and bearing from the cage using the J 45006
and a hydraulic press.
- Remove the spacer from
the pinion shaft.
- Install the J 22912-B
(2) onto the pinion shaft,
under the inner-bearing race.
- Place the pinion shaft in a press to remove the bearing from the
shaft.
- Install the J 45006
(1) and press the bearing from the pinion shaft.
- Remove the pinion oil
seal (1) and the pinion bearing (2) from the bearing cage (3).
