Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 891693 Size: SH
  1. Insert a flat-bladed tool between the shift knob and the shift knob trim ring.
  2. Rotate the flat bladed tool to release the shift knob trim ring from the shift knob.

    3. Object Number: 891696 Size: SH
  3. Loosen the shift knob retaining screw 3 turns.

    4. Object Number: 891699 Size: SH
  4. Remove the shift knob by pulling straight up off the shift control shaft.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 891699 Size: SH
  1. Install the shift knob fully onto the shift control shaft.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 891696 Size: SH
  2. If previously removed, install the shift knob retaining screw.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  3. Install the shift knob trim ring to the shift knob.
