The Air Quality Sensor Sensitivity Level can be changed using the scan tool. If exhaust fumes are noticed in the vehicle a more sensitive level should be selected.

The following describes the sensitivity settings to choose from:

  1. 7 is the least sensitive to exhaust.
  2. 6 is less sensitive than 5.
  3. 5 is less sensitive than 4.
  4. The production setting and default value is 4.
  5. 3 is more sensitive than 4.
  6. 2 is more sensitive thab 3.
  7. 1 is the most sensitive to exhaust.

Use the following procedure in order to change the sensitivity level:

  1. Connect the scan tool .
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Select HVAC Module.
  4. Select HVAC Systems Automatic.
  5. Select Special Functions.
  6. Select IPM.
  7. Select Air Quality Sensor Sensitivity Level.
  8. Choose a sensitivity level from 1-7.
  9. Select ENTER to enable the new selection.
  10. When done, use the soft key to save changes.
