This feature allows you to record a memo or a portion of a phone conversation for playback at a later time.
To use the memo record feature do the following:
- Press and hold the voice recognition control for about two seconds until the system says "MEMO."
- Press the down arrow on the select steering wheel control. The system will then say "RECORDING."
- Begin speaking. A timer will be displayed on the DIC showing the two minute countdown timer.
- Press the END control to stop recording. The system will return to the MEMO prompt.
If you want to record an in-call memo, press and hold the talk control to begin recording.
If you want to return to the main menu, press the END control. The system will respond with "READY."
If you press the up arrow on the select steering wheel control while recording a memo, the recording will end immediately and playback will begin. The memo function will also end if one of the following occurs:
| • | The system times out after five seconds of inactivity, |
| • | the steering wheel controls are not available, |
| • | an incoming call is received, or |
| • | an outgoing call is made. |
To play the last memo recorded, do the following:
- Press and hold the steering wheel control with the talk symbol on it until the system says "MEMO."
- Press the up arrow on the select steering wheel control. Playback will begin.
If you press the up arrow on the select steering wheel control during playback, the memo will start playback over from the beginning.
Memos cannot be saved in memory. Whenever you record a new memo it will be recorded over the last memo.
Call Waiting Feature
The phone system has a call waiting feature. If you are on a call and receive another incoming call, you can accept the second call by pressing the talk control. To return to the first call, press the END control. Refer to the manual provided with the phone for more information.
Three-Way Calling Feature
The phone system has a three-way calling feature. If you are on a call and receive another incoming call, press the talk control to accept it. If you want to be able to talk to both parties at once, press the talk control again. To end a three-way call, press the END control. Refer to the manual provided with the phone for more information.
