Some customers may comment on any or all of the following conditions:
• | The radio has static even though the radio station has a strong signal. |
• | The radio reception on AM stations is distorted. |
• | The radio backlighting is inoperative. |
• | The CD changer does not remember the last track that was played after the key is turned off. |
Technicians may find that the Tech 2® cannot communicate with the radio.
These conditions may be caused by the current version of the radio's software.
Technicians are to replace the radio with an exchange unit to be obtained from Specmo Enterprises in Madison Heights, Michigan. Specmo's telephone numbers are (248) 307-2570 or (800) 545-7911. Specmo Enterprises is the only Authorized Electronic Service Center that stocks these exchange radios. Refer to the Radio Replacement procedure in SI for replacement instructions (Document ID # 1469605).
The exchange unit can be obtained from an authorized ACDelco Radio Centre.
