Chirp, Rattle Noise or Movement From Front Seats - keywords creak hook move shift squeak

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.

Chirp/Rattle noise from Front Seat outboard hook or excessive movement from either front seat. The noise may be noticed more on the passenger side of the vehicle when the seat is not occupied. The #2 Bar in floorpan may have become deformed upward during seat installation at the assembly plant which allows the seat to move slightly in the vertical direction.

Remove Front Seat and straighten metal on #2 Bar of floorpan at outboard attachment if it is deformed then reinstall the Front Seat.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
