Low Beam Headlamps on in Daylight - keywords beam day daytime head headlight lamp light low

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some customers may comment that the low beam headlamps are on during daylight conditions.

Inspect the windshield wiper switch position. If the windshield wiper switch is in any on position, the IPM will command on the headlamps. This is a normal condition.

Note: Vehicles equipped with Rainsense windshield wipers, may have the wiper switch on with no activation of the wipers.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
