The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The following information may be helpful when diagnosing a 2005-2006 Cadillac STS in which the driver is unable to change the HVAC outlet temperature for any of the 3 zones. DTCs B0413 and B0423 will also be set. During this condition, the set temp display will change when adjusted.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The above condition may be caused by a blown CCP fuse in the Under Hood Bussed Electrical Center (UBEC) or any condition that causes a loss of power to the HVAC Control Head connector C1 terminal B1.
Note: There are 2 CCP fuses located in the UBEC. The fuse in question is the fuse closest to the front of the vehicle.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
