The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The 2005 Cadillac STS owner's manual pages 2-5 and 2-19 incorrectly state that the vehicle is equipped with a "secure car feature" that would allow the customer to express up the vehicles windows by pressing and holding the lock button on the keyless entry
transmitter. This feature is not available for 2005 model year.
For 2006 model year vehicles the feature is available, however, some vehicles were built with the feature disabled. To enable the Secure Car feature on 2006 model year vehicles, perform the following:
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
