The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some 2005 Cadillac STS may experience the Remote Vehicle Start (RVS) becoming inoperative after replacement of the Instrument Panel Module (IPM).
Recommendation/Instructions:
Ensure the correct part number IPM is installed. The 2005 Model Year STS should have IPM P/N 10379086. 2006 Model Year should have IPM P/N 15262719.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
