The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some customers may comment of Service Engine Soon light on with DTCs P0101 or P1101.

Recommendation/Instructions:

When diagnosing this concern, check to ensure that the clean air duct is properly positioned and secured at throttle body and air cleaner/mass air flow sensor. If the clean air duct is mispositioned or not properly secured, unmetered air can enter the system, causing DTC P0101 or P1101 to set.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
