The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The vehicle will not enter TPM learn mode by holding the Lock and Unlock buttons on the Keyless Entry Transmitter.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Ensure the Ignition is in ACCESSORY before attempting to initiate learn mode. Document ID# 1549029 implies learn mode can be initiated using the Keyless Transmitter with the Ignition in RUN. This is only true if the scan tool is being used. Additional confusion may be created when viewing the TPM System Enabled status on the Tech 2. It has been found to say NO on vehicles with normally operating TPM systems. Engineering is investigating this.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
