    Object Number: 1832663 Size: SH
  1. Install a NEW oil filter adapter pipe fitting seal.

    2. Object Number: 1832667 Size: SH
  2. Apply threadlocker GM P/N 89021297 (Canadian P/N 109534880) to the threads (1) of the oil filter adapter pipe fitting.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the oil filter adapter pipe fittings into the oil filter adapter.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter adapter pipe fitting to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the oil filter fitting (5).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter fitting to 29 N·m (21 lb ft).

  5. Install a NEW O-ring (3) on the oil filter adapter hole plug (2).
  6. Install the oil filter adapter hole plug (2).

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter adapter hole plug to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).

  7. Install a NEW O-ring (6) on the oil pressure switch (7).
  8. Install the oil pressure switch (7).

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pressure switch to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  9. Install the heat shield (8).
  10. Install the heat shield bolts (9).

    11. Tighten
    Tighten the heat shield bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  11. Install the NEW oil filter adapter gasket (1).
