GM Service Manual Online
For 1990-2009 cars only
8-Digit GM Part Number: The scan tool displays the part number for the Door Module (DDSA, DDM, PFDM, LMDM, RMDM, LRDM, or RRDM).

Battery Voltage Signal: The scan tool displays 0 to 25.0 volts. This is the current battery voltage level at the door module.

Component Serial No. 13-16: The scan tool displays the third partition of the door module serial number.

Door Switch Backlight Command: The scan tool displays a Percent (%). This is the state of the door switches backlighting as detected by the associated door module. When the door switches are illuminated, the scan tool displays a percentage with respect to the interior lamps dimmer switch in the appropriate door modules data list.

Driver Mirror Heater: The scan tool displays Inactive/Active. This is the driver door module (DDM) output to the associated mirror. When the DDM supplies voltage and ground to the associated outside rearview mirror heating element, the scan tool displays Active in the appropriate door modules data list. When the DDM is not supplying voltage and ground to the associated outside rearview mirror heating element, the scan tool displays Inactive.

Driver Mirror Horizontal Position: The scan tool displays volts. This is the mirror horizontal position sensor feedback voltage as detected by the driver door module (DDM) module. The voltage varies directly with the horizontal position of the driver outside rearview mirror.

Driver Mirror Vertical Position: The scan tool displays volts. This is the mirror vertical position sensor feedback voltage as detected by the driver door module (DDM) module. The voltage varies directly with the horizontal position of the driver outside rearview mirror.

Driver Mirror Motors Command: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Left/Right/Fold In/Fold Out. This is the driver door module (DDM) output to the associated outside rearview mirror. When the DDM supplies voltage and ground to the associated driver or passenger mirror motor to move the mirror up, down, left, or right, or to Fold In or Fold Out, the scan tool displays the corresponding direction in the appropriate door modules data list. When the DDM is not supplying voltage and ground to a mirror motor, the scan tool displays Idle.

Julian Date Of Build: The scan tool displays a number representing the day of the year the module selected was built.

Mirror Fold Switch (DDSA): The scan tool displays Fold/Unfold. This is the state of the outside rearview mirror power fold switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). When the power fold switch is not being operated the scan tool displays Idle.

Mirror Select Switch (DDSA): The scan tool displays Off/Driver/Passenger. This is the state of the mirror select switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). The display indicates which mirror, if any, the operator has selected for adjustment.

Mirror Direction Switch (DDSA): The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Left/Right. This is the state of the mirror position adjustment switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). When the mirror position adjustment switch is operated in any of these directions, the scan tool displays the corresponding direction.

Psgr. Mirror Heater: The scan tool displays Inactive/Active. This is the passenger door module (PDM) output to the associated mirror. When the PDM supplies voltage and ground to the associated outside rearview mirror heating element, the scan tool displays Active in the appropriate door modules data list. When the PDM is not supplying voltage and ground to the associated outside rearview mirror heating element, the scan tool displays Inactive.

Psgr. Mirror Horizontal Position: The scan tool displays volts. This is the mirror horizontal position sensor feedback voltage as detected by the passenger door module (PDM). The voltage varies directly with the horizontal position of the passenger outside rearview mirror.

Psgr. Mirror Motors Command: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Left/Right/Fold In/Fold Out. This is the passenger door module (PDM) output to the associated outside rearview mirror. When the PDM supplies voltage and ground to the associated driver or passenger mirror motor to move the mirror up, down, left, or right, or to Fold In or Fold Out, the scan tool displays the corresponding direction in the appropriate door modules data list. When the PDM is not supplying voltage and ground to a mirror motor, the scan tool displays Idle.

Psgr. Mirror Vertical Position: The scan tool displays volts. This is the mirror vertical position sensor feedback voltage as detected by the passenger door module (PDM). The voltage varies directly with the horizontal position of the passenger outside rearview mirror.

VIN Learned: The scan tool displays Yes/No. The door control modules learn the vehicle identification number (VIN) upon keyup when replaced. When a door control module does not learn or receive the VIN via GMLAN serial data, the scan tool will display NO for VIN Learned.

VIN Message Received: The scan tool displays Yes/No. When a door control module does not receive the vehicle identification number (VIN) broadcast via GMLAN serial data, the scan tool will display NO.

Year Module Built: The scan tool displays the four digit year of build for the module selected.
