GM Service Manual Online
For 1990-2009 cars only
8-Digit GM Part Number: The scan tool displays the part number for the Door Module (DDSA, DDM, PFDM, LMDM, RMDM, LRDM, or RRDM).

Battery Voltage Signal: The scan tool displays 0 to 25.0 volts. This is the current battery voltage level at the door module.

Component Serial No. 13-16: The scan tool displays the third partition of the door module serial number.

Door Switch Backlight Command: The scan tool displays a Percent (%). This is the state of the door switches backlighting as detected by the associated door module. When the door switches are illuminated, the scan tool displays a percentage with respect to the interior lamps dimmer switch in the appropriate door modules data list.

Driver LF Window Switch (DDSA): The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Express Up/Express Down for the left front passenger door window. This is the state of the left front passenger door window switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA).

Driver LR Window Switch (DDSA): The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Express Up/Express Down for the left rear passenger door window. This is the state of the right rear passenger door window switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA).

Driver RF Window Switch (DDSA): The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Express Up/Express Down for the right front passenger door window. This is the state of the right front passenger door window switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA).

Driver RR Window Switch (DDSA): The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Express Up/Express Down for the right rear passenger door window. This is the state of the right rear passenger door window switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA).

Julian Date Of Build: The scan tool displays a number representing the day of the year the module selected was built.

VIN Learned: The scan tool displays Yes/No. The door control modules learn the vehicle identification number (VIN) upon keyup when replaced. When a door control module does not learn or receive the VIN via GMLAN serial data, the scan tool will display NO for VIN Learned.

VIN Message Received: The scan tool displays Yes/No. When a door control module does not receive the vehicle identification number (VIN) broadcast via GMLAN serial data, the scan tool will display NO.

Window Lockout Switch (DDSA): The scan tool displays Inactive/Active. This is the state of the window lockout switch as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). When the window lockout switch is not being operated, the scan tool displays Idle.

Window Lockout Switch Indicator Command (DDSA): The scan tool displays Percent Intensity. This is the state of the LED indicator on the window lockout switch button as detected by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA) as a percent of intensity depending on the interior light dimming.

Window Motor Command: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Active. This is the door module output to the associated window. Upon receiving a valid window Up or Down request, the door module supplies voltage and ground to the associated window motor to move the window in the requested direction and the scan tool displays the corresponding direction in the appropriate door modules data list. When the door module is not supplying voltage and ground to the associated window motor to move the window in either direction, the scan tool displays Idle.

Window Normalization: The scan tool displays Yes/No. The door control modules monitor the distance the window glass travels. When a door control module determines a window has not reached the full up or full down positions, the window is considered to be not normalized. When this happens the scan tool will display No.

Window Switch: The scan tool displays Idle/Up/Down/Express Up/Express Down for the front passenger and rear window switches. This is the state of the front passenger and rear passenger door window switches as detected by the respective door control module. The left front window switch is monitored by the driver door switch assembly (DDSA).

Year Module Built: The scan tool displays the four digit year of build for the module selected.
