DTC Descriptor

DTC C0845 03: Device Ignition 1 Circuit Voltage Below Threshold

Circuit/System Description

The power steering control module (PSCM) actively monitors the ignition voltage seen at the module, comparing the actual voltage with that reported over serial data.

Conditions for Running the DTC

Engine running

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The PSCM detects that the ignition voltage is less than 9.2 volts

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

    • Active Steering is disabled.
    • SERVICE STEERING SYS and/or STABILITY SECURE MODE is displayed on the DIC.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

    • A current DTC will clear on the next malfunction free ignition cycle.
