Remove the center front compartment sight shield. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement .

Hood Latch Bolt (Qty: 3)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tip
Use a grease pencil to mark the latch position before removing the bolts.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

•	Disconnect the electrical connector.

•	Disconnect the hood latch release cable.
