This PI was superseded to update model years. Please discard PIC3842.
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may comment they cannot control the HVAC system temperature. Inspection of the vehicle will reveal the temperature control displays work normally but the air discharge temperatures do not change. DTC B0413 and B0423 may be stored.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Inspect the CCP fuse in the Under Hood Bussed Electrical Center (UBEC) for being open. This or any condition that causes a loss of power to the HVAC Control Head connector C1 terminal B1 circuit 1539 could cause this condition.
Notice: There are 2 CCP fuses located in the UBEC. The CCP fuse that is positioned most forward, towards the front of the vehicle is the one that needs be checked.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
