The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
A technician may find the VIN Relearn function is missing from the Tech 2 menu when using software version 27.011 and 27.012.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Until this issue is resolved, build the vehicle as a 2006 STS on the Tech2. Make the following menu selections when it is necessary to relearn the VIN: Diagnostics " (6) 2006 " Passenger Car " (6) Cadillac " D " (DW) STS " Body and Accessories " (6) Cadillac " D " STS " Entertainment " Module Setup " Navigation Radio " VIN Relearn.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
