    Object Number: 1832663 Size: SH
  1. Install a NEW oil filter adapter pipe fitting seal.

    2. Object Number: 1832667 Size: SH
  2. Apply threadlocker GM P/N 89021297 (Canadian P/N 109534880) to the threads (1) of the oil filter adapter pipe fitting.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1832674 Size: SH
  3. Install the oil filter adapter pipe fittings into the oil filter adapter and tighten to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

    4. Object Number: 1644271 Size: SH
  4. Install the oil filter fitting (5) and tighten to 29 N·m (21 lb ft).
  5. Install a NEW O-ring (3) on the oil filter adapter hole plug (2).
  6. Install the oil filter adapter hole plug (2) and tighten to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).
  7. Install a NEW O-ring (6) on the oil pressure switch (7).
  8. Install the oil pressure switch (7) and tighten to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
  9. Install the heat shield (8).
  10. Install the heat shield bolts (9) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
  11. Install the NEW oil filter adapter gasket (1).
