Inner Drive Belt - Generator
- Insert the
EN-47913 tool
or a 1/2 inch drive breaker bar into the inner drive belt tensioner.
- Push down on the
EN-47913 tool
or breaker bar clockwise in order to allow the installation of the inner drive belt.
- Route the inner drive belt around the crankshaft balancer inner pulley, the generator pulley and the inner drive belt tensioner pulley.
- Ensure the inner drive belt is properly seated in all the pulleys.
- Slowly release the inner drive belt tensioner back to its original position. This will apply tension to the inner drive belt.
- Remove the
EN-47913 tool
or breaker bar.
- After installation, inspect the inner drive belt for proper routing and the correct alignment.
Center Drive Belt - A/C Compressor, Water Pump and Power Steering Pump
- Insert the
EN-47913 tool
or a 1/2 inch drive breaker bar into the center drive belt tensioner.
- Push down on the
EN-47913 tool
or breaker bar clockwise in order to allow the installation of the center drive belt.
- Route the center drive belt around the crankshaft balancer center pulley, the A/C compressor pulley, the drive belt idler pulley, the P/S pump pulley, the water pump pulley and the center drive belt tensioner pulley.
- Ensure the center drive belt is properly seated in all the pulleys.
- Slowly release the center drive belt tensioner back to its original position. This will apply tension to the center drive belt.
- Remove the
EN-47913 tool
or breaker bar.
- After installation, inspect the center drive belt for proper routing and the correct alignment.
Outer Drive Belt - Supercharger
- Insert the
EN-47913 tool
or a 1/2 inch drive breaker bar into the outer drive belt tensioner.
- Push down on the
EN-47913 tool
or breaker bar clockwise in order to allow the installation of the outer drive belt.
- Route the outer drive belt around the crankshaft balancer outer pulley, the outer drive belt upper idler pulley, the supercharger pulley, the outer drive belt tensioner pulley, and the outer drive belt lower idler pulley.
- Ensure the outer drive belt is properly seated in all the pulleys.
- Slowly release the outer drive belt tensioner back to its original position. This will apply tension to the outer drive belt.
- Remove the
EN-47913 tool
or breaker bar.
- After installation, inspect the outer drive belt for proper routing and the correct alignment.
- Place the power steering pump reservoir into position.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the power steering pump reservoir bracket nuts and tighten to
10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the power steering pump reservoir hose.
