🢒 Power Steering Pump Replacement
Power Steering Pump Replacement LY7
Removal Procedure
Remove the front air deflector. Refer to
Front Air Deflector Replacement
.
Remove the power steering pulley. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement
.
Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement
.
Disconnect the power steering reservoir outlet hose from the power steering pump.
Disconnect the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump.
Remove the power steering bracket to the engine mounting bolts (1, 2, and 3).
Remove the power steering pump with bracket from the vehicle.
Remove the power steering pump bracket from the power steering pump. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement
.
Installation Procedure
Install the power steering pump to the power steering pump bracket. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement
.
Install the power steering pump with bracket to the vehicle.
Caution:
Refer to
Fastener Caution
in the Preface section.
Install the power steering pump bracket to the engine mounting bolts (1-3) and tighten to
50 N·m (37 lb ft)
.
Connect the power steering pressure hose to the power steering pump.
Connect the power steering reservoir outlet hose to the power steering pump.
Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
Install the power steering pulley. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement
.
Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement
.
Bleed the power steering system. Refer to
Power Steering System Bleeding
.
Install the front air deflector. Refer to
Front Air Deflector Replacement
.
Power Steering Pump Replacement LH2
Removal Procedure
Remove the front air deflector. Refer to
Front Air Deflector Replacement
.
Remove the power steering pulley. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement
.
Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
.
Loosen the hose clamp and remove the power steering reservoir outlet hose from the power steering pump.
Remove the power steering gear inlet pipe clip bracket nut from the pump.
Reposition the pipe clip bracket.
Loosen the fitting and remove the power steering gear inlet hose from the power steering pump.
Remove the power steering pump to engine mounting bolt.
Remove the power steering bracket to engine bolts.
Remove the power steering pump with the bracket from the vehicle.
Remove the power steering pump from the power steering bracket. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement
.
Installation Procedure
Install the power steering pump to the power steering bracket. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement
.
Install the power steering pump with the bracket to the vehicle.
Caution:
Refer to
Fastener Caution
in the Preface section.
Install the power steering bracket to engine bolts and tighten to
50 N·m (37 lb ft)
.
Install the power steering pump to engine mounting bolt and tighten to
50 N·m (37 lb ft)
.
Install the power steering gear inlet hose to the power steering pump. Tighten the fitting to
40 N·m (30 lb ft)
.
Install the pipe clip bracket to the pump.
Install the power steering gear inlet pipe clip bracket nut and tighten to
9 N·m (80 lb in)
.
Install the power steering reservoir outlet hose to the power steering pump with the hose clamp.
Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
Install the power steering pulley. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement

Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to
Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
.
Bleed the power steering system. Refer to
Power Steering System Bleeding
.
Install the front air deflector. Refer to
Front Air Deflector Replacement
