Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2009 🢒 STS 🢒 Steering 🢒 Power Steering 🢒 Power Steering Cooler Pipe/Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1371691 Size: SH
  3. Loosen the hose clamps and disconnect the power steering cooler hoses from the power steering hoses.

    4. Object Number: 1371689 Size: SH
  4. Remove the power steering cooler hose to frame retaining bolt.

    5. Object Number: 2177005 Size: SH
  5. Loosen the hose clamps and disconnect the power steering cooler hoses (1, 2) from the power steering cooler (3).
  6. Remove the power steering cooler hoses from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2177005 Size: SH
  1. Position the power steering cooler hoses (1, 2) in the vehicle.
  2. Install the power steering cooler hoses to the power steering cooler (3) with the hose clamps.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1371689 Size: SH
  3. Install the power steering cooler hose to frame retaining bolt and tighten to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

    4. Object Number: 1371691 Size: SH
  4. Install the power steering cooler hoses to the power steering hoses with the hose clamps.
  5. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
  8. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.
