Power Steering Fluid Cooler Replacement LH2 or LY7 with V92
Removal Procedure
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
Remove the front air deflector. Refer to
Front Air Deflector Replacement
.
Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
Remove the power steering cooler bolts (1, 2) from the power steering cooler brackets.
Loosen the hose clamps and disconnect the power steering cooler hoses (1, 2) from the power steering cooler (3).
Remove the power steering cooler from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Position the power steering cooler (3) in the vehicle.
Install the power steering cooler hoses (1, 2) to the power steering cooler with the hose clamps.
Caution:
Refer to
Fastener Caution
in the Preface section.
Install the power steering cooler bolts (1, 2) to the power steering cooler brackets and tighten to
9 N·m (80 lb in)
.
Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
Install the front air deflector. Refer to
Front Air Deflector Replacement
.
Lower the vehicle.
Bleed the power steering system. Refer to
Power Steering System Bleeding
.
Power Steering Fluid Cooler Replacement LY7 without V92
Removal Procedure
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
Remove the front air deflector. Refer to
Front Air Deflector Replacement
.
Install a drain pan under the vehicle.
Remove the power steering cooler bolts from the power steering cooler brackets.
Disconnect the power steering lines from the power steering cooler.
Remove the power steering cooler from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Install the power steering cooler to the vehicle.
Connect the power steering lines to the power steering cooler.
Caution:
Refer to
Fastener Caution
in the Preface section.
Install the power steering cooler bolts to the power steering cooler brackets and tighten to
9 N·m (80 lb in)
.
Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
Install the front air deflector. Refer to
Front Air Deflector Replacement
.
Lower the vehicle.
Bleed the power steering system. Refer to
Power Steering System Bleeding
.
