Attention: | This bulletin describes the volume control functions available when using a Bluetooth® phone call or an OnStar® session. You may give a copy of this bulletin to your customer. |
If a customer comes to your dealer because they are not able to adjust the volume of a Bluetooth® phone call or OnStar® session when using the steering wheel controls, please refer to the following information.
The radio must be "ON" in order for the steering wheel volume controls to function.
When the radio is "OFF", control of the volume is still present but must be accomplished by using the volume knob on the radio.
Please advise the customer to have the radio "ON" prior to entering a Bluetooth® phone call or an OnStar® session, then the volume may be adjusted either by the steering wheel volume control keys and/or the radio volume knob.
Do not replace the radio or steering wheel control keys for this concern.
