SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE 1982 THM 325-4L TRANSMISSION
I. 4-3 PRESSURE SWITCH NOT USED
THE AL MODEL OF THE 1982 THM 325-4L TRANSMISSION, USED ON DIESEL EQUIPP- ED E/K CARS, WAS BUILT WITHOUT THE 4-3 PRESSURE SWITCH AND PIPE SHOWN IN FIGURE 325-4L-7 ON PAGE 325-4L-6 AND FIGURE 325-4L-236 ON PAGE 325-4L-65 OF THE 1982 SERVICE MANUAL.
PLEASE UPDATE YOUR SERVICE MANUAL TO SHOW THIS CHANGE.
II. CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY
FIGURE 325-4L-221 ON PAGE 325-4L-57 OF THE 1982 CADILLAC SERVICE MANUAL REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING REVISIONS:
1. THE VALVE TRAIN NUMBERED 35 TO 37 MUST BE ALTERED TO SHOW THE ASSEMBLY SEQUENCE AS FOLLOWS: (REFER TO FIGURE 1)
A. LINE BIAS VALVE SPRING, (NO 35) NEXT TO VALVE BODY B. LINE BIAS VLAVE, (NO 36) C. BORE PLUG, (NO 37) D. COILED SPRING PIN, (B)
2. ALL BORE PLUGS HAVE A SMALL HOLE ON ONE SIDE TO AID IN DISASSEMBLY. THE FLAT SIDE OF THE BORE PLUG (WITHOUT THE HOLE) MUST FACT THE VALVE TRAIN WHEN INSTALLED.
PLEASE UPDATE YOUR SERVICE MANUAL USING FIGURE 1 FROM THIS BULLETIN.
