CHECK BALL LOCATION ID 325 TRANSMISSION

--PLEASE INSERT THE FOLLOWING FIGURES IN YOUR 1982 SERIVCE MANUAL FOR THE THM 325-4L TRANSMISSION. THE INFORMATION CONTAINS UPDATED IDENTIFICATION FOR CHECK BALLS LOCATED IN THE CASE AND ON THE SPACER PLATE. --INSERT THE FIGURES ON THE FOLLOWING TWO PAGES IN YOUR SHOP MANUAL ON PAGES 325-4L-11 AND 325-4L-60.

---SECOND BULLETIN-- WHEN INSTALLING A CONTROL VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY ON CAR FOR ANY THM 325-4L TRANSMISSIONS, REFER TO THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE AND ILLUSTRA- TIONS FOR PROPER CHECK BALL LOCATIONS. 1. POSITION SPACER PLATE TO CASE GASKET ON SPACER PLATE. 2. POSITION NINE (9) CHECK BALLS (NO. 1 THRU NO. 10, EXCEPT NO. 7, WHICH IS IN THE SERVO) ON THE SPACER PLATE. (FIGURE NO. 1). 3. INSTALL THE SPACER PLATE ON TRANSMISSION. RETAIN THE SPACER PLATE TEMPORARILY, USING A SMALL BOLT FROM THE ACCUMULATOR HOUSING, THROUGH ANY BOLT HOLE NEAR THE CENTER OF THE SPACER PLATE. 4. POSITION A CHECK BALL (NO. 11) IN THE ACCUMULATOR HOUSING. (FIGURE NO. 2). 5. POSITION THE GASKET ON THE ACCUMULATOR HOUSING. 6. INSTALL THE ACCUMULATOR HOUSING LOOSELY ON THE TRANSMISSION. 7. POSITION A CHECK BALL (NO. 12) IN THE VALVE BODY (FIGURE NO. 3) 8. POSITION THE GASEKT ON THE VALVE BODY. 9. REMOVE THE SMALL BOLT FROM SPACER PLATE, AND INSTALL IN THE ACCUMULATOR HOUSING. 10. INSTALL THE VALVE BODY AND ALL PIPES. TORQUE ALL BOLTS TO 13-17 N.M (9-12 FT. LBS). 11. REFER TO SERVICE MANUAL FOR INSTALLATION OF VALVE BODY WIRING HARNESS. REFER TO BUICK# 82-I-155 FOR 2004R ----------------------------------
