1985 LABOR TIME GUIDE ORDERING PROCEDURES

The 1985 Labor Time Guide will now be available in loose leaf paper form. This new "paper" Labor Time guide is not an option to microfiche but is offered on a subscription basis in addition to the microfiche provided. This was listed as item H2236P on the 1985 Cadillac Service Publications Order Form which was mailed to all dealers in August. Each subscription includes the initial publication, one revision and a final update at a cost of $49.00 each. Subscriptions may be ordered (item H2236P) from:

Helm Incorporated P.O. Box 3617 Highland Park, MI 48203

The new 1985 Cadillac Labor Time Guide microfiche has been published and should be delivered to dealers by September 15.

The paint "Material Allowance Conversion Chart" has been changed to include a paint material price increase (effective September 15, 1984).

A new Policy Code "M" has been added. This new policy code is for identifying components which are covered under the new "Major Assembly Coverage" warranty. This new warranty coverage applies to FWD-C series only.

Also included with the new 1985 Labor Time Guide microfiche is our final 1984 Labor Time Guide Revision. This 9/84 revision includes the correct 1984 material allowance conversion chart which was inadvertently left out of the 8/84 revision. The 8/84 revision should be discarded and replaced with the 9/84 (final) 1984 Labor Time Guide revision.

The GRAM microfiche update package is scheduled for distribution by October 22, 1984. This package includes updates of Serviceman Bulletins, Dealer Service Information Bulletins, Campaign Bulletins, Past Model (1979-1983) Labor Time Guides, Quick Reference Guide and the 1984 Chassis and Body Service Information Manuals.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
