Page 8A-20-3 of the 1988 Eldorado and Seville Service Information Manual Final Edition incorrectly states that circuits #435 and #436 route to ECM pins D3 and C2 respectively.
Circuit #435 should be labeled as entering the ECM to pin "C2".
Circuit #436 should be labeled as entering the ECM to pin "D3" .
Page 8A-20-4, included for a running production change to the grounding of the manifold air temperature and coolant temperature sensors, correctly identifies the routing of circuits #435 and #436.
Please note these corrections in your Service Information Manuals.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
