WARRANTY REPORTING OF CONSOLE SERVICE

This bulletin is to clarify proper usage of certain console service labor operations when reporting warranty claims. Refer to Figure 1.

C2790 Plate. Console Trim ------------------------- Labor Operation C2790 at .2 hour should be used when servicing the console trim plate on Eldorados, Sevilles, and Allantes. Service on the console trim plate includes:

1. Replacement of console trim plate.

2. R&R or replacement of console trim plate components not covered by another labor operation.

C2810 Plate. Console Compartment Mounting ----------------------------------------- Labor Operation C2810 at .4 hour should be used when servicing the console compartment mounting plate on Eldorados and Sevilles. Service on the console compartment mounting plate includes:

1. Replacement of console plate which acts as the base or foundation of the console trim plate. This does not include the console assembly if the console trim plate mounts directly to console assembly.

2. R&R or replacement of console compartment mounting plate components not covered by another labor operation.

C2860 Console Assembly

Labor Operation C2860 at .6 hour should be used when servicing the complete console assembly on Eldorados, Sevilles, and Allantes. Service on the complete console assembly includes:

1. Removal/reinstallation or replacement of complete console assembly.

N6130 Console Wire and/or Connector ----------------------------------- Labor Operation N6130 at .5 hour should be used when servicing console wiring and/or connectors on Eldorados, Sevilles, and Allantes. Service on console wiring and/or connectors includes:

1. Terminal repair and/or replacement.

2. Connector repair and/or replacement.

3. Wire splicing.

4. Wire rerouting, alleviation of pinched wires or interferences with console components.

IMPORTANT: Most console wire and/or connector service can be accomplished without removal of the complete console assembly. Consequently, Labor Operation C2860 should only be used where actual removal and replacement of the complete console is absolutely necessary.
