PRODUCT SERVICE PUBLISHCATIONS & SERVICE BULLETIN BOOKS

Enclosed with each dealership's distribution of this bulletin are two copies each of the 1989 PSP book and the 1981-1983 Service Bulletin book. The 1989 PSP book is distributed to dealers as part of an agreement between General Motors and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The intent of this agreement is to have product information available to retail customers. Refer to C.O. Bulletin 89-118, SM-27 for more information on the PSP program.

The 1981-1983 Service Bulletin book was published because CAD-STAR Engineers often find dealers do not have copies of these older bulletins available when working on CAD-STAR cases. Therefore, each dealership should put one copy of this book in a secure place where it will be available to technicians working on CAD-STAR cases. The other copy may be used for any purpose the dealership finds most useful. This book does not contain all bulletins published in 1981-1983. Those bulletins which are obsolete have been left out to save on printing costs.

If you have any comments or suggestions about these books or bulletins in general, please send a note to:

Your ideas would be appreciated.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
