WARRANTY ADMINISTRATION HAS BEEN NOTIFIED OF ALL CHANGES AND THE WARRANTY CLAIMS PROCESSING SYSTEM HAS BEEN UPDATED. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SOME 1992 SEVILLES MAY EXPERIENCE ABOVE NORMAL ROOF PANEL NOISE DURING A RAIN STORM. THIS MAY BE CAUSED BY INSUFFICIENT ADHESION OF THE ROOF OUTER PANEL TO THE ROOF INNER PANEL BOWS.
TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION REMOVE HEADLINER ASSEMBLY (REFERENCE 1992 SERVICE INFORMATION MANUAL SECTION 10-9-2). IF BREAKAGE OF THE HEADLINER REAR LOCATOR OCCURS, REPLACE WITH P/N 3635951.
NEXT, INSTALL THE FOLLOWING MATERIAL IN THE LOCATIONS SHOWN IN FIGURE 1.
1. UTILIZE AN ADHESIVE SUCH AS 3M HOOD FLUTTER REPAIR KIT (P/N 081105 OR EQUIVALENT) OR KENT INDUSTRIES URI-FOAM (P/N 10-600 OR EQUIVALENT) TO BOND THE ROOF BOWS TO THE ROOF OUTER PANEL AT THE LOCATIONS DESIGNATED BY THE 21 SILVER DOLLAR SIZE DROPS SHOWN IN ILLUSTRATION.
2. APPLY SOUND DEADENER PADS (KENT INDUSTRIES P/N 90225 OR EQUIVALENT) TO ROOF OUTER PANEL IN THE SIX LARGE OPENINGS OF ROOF INNER PANEL BOWS; CUT PADS TO FIT. SECURE WITH ADHESIVE PROVIDED OR RECOMMENDED BY SUPPLIER.
3. REINSTALL THE HEADLINER (REFERENCE 1992 SERVICE INFORMATION MANUAL SECTION 10-9-2).
FOR WARRANTY PURPOSES USE LABOR OPERATION T6600 AT 2.0 HOURS.
PARTS ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FROM GMSPO.
