CTR. PILLAR TRIM ASSY. WARPING (INSTALL TRIM W/FORWARD EDGE)

SUBJECT: CENTER PILLAR TRIM ASSEMBLY WARPING (INSTALL NEW CENTER PILLAR TRIM WITH REINFORCED FOPWARD EDGE)

MODELS AFFECTED: 1992 SEVILLES

Some 1992 Sevilles may experience warping of the B-Pillar trim at the forward edge near the seat belt retractor. Refer to Figure 1. This condition is due to a combination of heat and compression on this part at an area that is not reinforced.

To repair this condition new parts are available with a reinforced forward edge. Order parts based on the following information:

Refer to Section 10-3-6 of the 1992 E/K Service Information Manual for removal and installation of B-Pillar trim.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.

For warranty purposes use Labor Operation T6680 at .2 hour for passenger side and Labor Operation T6681 at .2 hour for driver side.
