1993 Sevilles after VIN breakpoint 807000 now have an additional hidden screw in all four door trim panels. The screw is located under a flap in the lower rear comer of the carpet area. Refer to Figure 1.
Like the Eldorado, this extra screw must be removed before attempting to service the door trim panel, otherwise damage to the trim panel will result. See Section 10 - 6 of the 1993 Eldorado/Seville Service Information Manual for removal procedures of the Eldorado door trim panel. Appropriate changes have been made to the 1993 Eldorado/Seville Final Service Information Manual.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
