  1. Place the intake manifold in position on the cylinder heads.
  2. Install the six bolts and four studs.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the intake manifold bolts and studs starting from the center and working outward in a circular pattern to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the fuel injector harness main connector.
  5. Install the PCV valve and feed tubes into the camshaft covers.

  6. Object Number: 53639  Size: SH
  7. Connect the EGR pipe to the water crossover and throttle body spacer.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the EGR pipe to 28 N·m (21 lb ft).

  9. Connect the crankcase ventilation pipe to the throttle body spacer.
  10. Connect the fuel rail bracket at the EGR valve.
  11. Connect the fuel rail ground wire at the rear cylinder head.
